Inhaltsangabe

Luna Whitman never imagined her eighteenth birthday would end in chaos, or that she would become the prime target of a notorious Mexican gang. But with the governor's election just around the corner, her abduction sends shockwaves through the nation. In response, the CIA launches a high-stakes rescue mission, led by Alec Stone-a seasoned operative known for his skill, precision, and unbreakable resolve. Recently suspended and desperate to reclaim his place at the top, Alec knows this mission could either redeem his career or end it. Yet, as the mission unfolds, Alec finds himself facing more than just enemy fire. Luna's fearless spirit and captivating presence begin to unsettle the calm he's always maintained under pressure. With time running out and every second critical, Alec must confront both the dangers around him and the unexpected emotions within. Will he bring Luna back safely, redeem his status, and keep his heart in check? Or will this mission prove more dangerous than he ever anticipated?
