The obscure advertisement in the local newspaper catches his attention. The vibration in his soul caused by the ad brings a new and strange sense of meaning into Conrad's life. The agonizing message reverberates in his very core again and again, grabbing hold of his senses and refusing to let go. Some strange power has seized control of his emotions and the attraction to respond to the ad is becoming more irresistible day by day, minute by minute, until Conrad -- completely without his own volition -- finds himself at the front door of a unfamiliar house in a strange location. The door opens slowly. Dare he enter? Is it time for him to turn and run?

Donald Crowe holds a B.A. (Honors) degree in English and Psychology, as well as a B.Ed. and a teaching certificate from the University of Toronto. He has worked as an officer in the Department of Corrections, a teacher in a psychiatric hospital, and as a counselor for emotionally disturbed children at a residential treatment center. He also worked for the Federal Government with Ministry of Immigration and Unemployment. Mr. Crowe enjoys an eclectic range of literature. His interests cover everything from psychological and religious texts to Romance poetry and the Classics. He has a particular affinity for Shakespeare, Dickens and the great writers of the late eighteen hundreds, and loves the nuances of Spanish and European writers. Due to a fusion of interrelated physical challenges, the author tries to spend about ten hours a week on his writings, although even that paucity of time isn't always possible. He devotes much of his time mentally re-developing plots, characters and dialogue. Donald has authored a number of prize-winning pieces of short fiction. Trinkets in Love's Lost and Found is his first published novel. The Innocent, his second book, is an engaging drama about the terrible plight of children abducted for the brutal world of the sex slavery industry. The author divides his time between Ajax, a suburb of Toronto on the north shore of Lake Ontario, and Estero, a small village in southwest Florida between Fort Myers and Naples. His daughter, Danielle Crowe, a design and marketing specialist, conceived and crafted the cover for Trinkets in Love's Lost and Fond and has created the cover for The Gryphon and the Greeting Card Writer.
