Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Birney T. “Chick” Havey Jr. descended from Hessian soldiers paid to fight with Washington's Armies during the Revolutionary War. Landing in Europe in November, 1944, he fought in northern France, Battle of the Bulge and the Invasion of Germany. He received 14 major decorations including the Purple Heart, 3 Bronze Stars and the Silver Star. In civilian life, he sold restaurant equipment to wholesale dealers and supermarkets. He retired to Galveston, Texas in 1986, built a home on the water and opened a restaurant equipment business. He is still active today.
