In my attempt to retire to a quaint Maine coastal town, I was inadvertently dragged into a double homicide by Rock Harbor, Chief of Police. Afterwards, and anxious to leave my retirement home, Bellingham, calls me. The majordomo of the Richenbach estate has many missing items including one of the most precious diamonds in the world in the story, “Back to Bellingham’s.” The next case takes us to New York for a quick adventure in the story, “Gold Fever.” Taking on several missing scientist cases leads us out west to a most extraordinary and bizarre technical case deep below the earth in the story, “Dr. Higgenbottom.” Lastly, never turning down an interesting puzzle, we meet Lucky Scott, whom after telling him the story of Rosie’s Ghost, tells us that he also has a little mysterious visitor of his own.
