The intertwined journey of human and dog has spurred the interest of anthropologists, biologists, historians, sociologists, and behavioral scientists. After all, the dog is "man's best friend," so it is natural that people have wondered about how, why, from where, and when dogs came to be.

Aleksandra Mikic was born and raised in former Yugoslavia. She moved to the US following her graduation from the University of Architecture in Belgrade. Her journey into the realm of holistic science and the true understanding of nature included the study of many healing modalities and Anthropsophy. She is currently a faculty member of the Hahnemann College for Heilkunst & Homeopathy, Ottawa, Ontario, in addition to maintaining a private consulting practice in holistic health for both animals and humans.
