Alain Burrese is the author of Hard-Won Wisdom From The School Of Hard Knocks, eight instructional DVDs on martial arts and self-defense, a thriller titled Lost Conscience, and the Tough Guy Wisdom series. He is currently working on additional titles to the Tough Guy Wisdom series, another novel, additional instructional DVDs, and several other projects. Alain’s background includes serving as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, a sniper instructor for the 2nd Infantry Division, living and training in Japan and South Korea where he earned a 4th degree black belt in the self-defense art of Hapkido, teaching, bodyguarding, speaking, mediating, practicing law, security, and various other positions throughout the years. He currently lives in Montana with his wife and daughter, and when not with them, he spends his time writing, teaching, speaking, and helping others resolve conflict. That, and of course, watching tough guy movies.
