John T. Farrell, Ph.D. has been in long-term recovery for thirty-five years and is currently the Regimental Chaplain and Director of Campus Ministries at SUNY Maritime College where he also teaches in the Humanities Department. He is an academician who has spent thirty-five years as a teacher, scholar, and chaplain. He is ordained in the Episcopal Church of the United States and is a trained labyrinth walk facilitator. He received a Masters of Divinity from Yale University and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Delaware. In 2008, Dr. Farrell served as a Professional-in-Residence at the Betty Ford Center. He is the author of numerous articles and reviews and two books, A Reinterpretation of the Works of William Beckford and Writing for Business: A Casebook. He resides in Brooklyn, New York.
