About the Author Val Edward Simone was born in Seattle, Washington, and has been writing since 1980. His work includes novels, screenplays, plays, poetry, short stories, and children’s picture books. Since 2008 Mr. Simone has published his first adult-themed action/adventure novel; a collection of thoughts, musings and observations; and seven children’s picture books under his own publishing companies. He is currently working on eleven novels. He is also a strong advocate for teaching children the joys of reading and continues to work with schools, local libraries, and directly with children through parent-assisted workshops to help children discover their own creativity through reading, writing, and drawing. He currently lives and works in Lakewood, Colorado.
