The Slander and Solace of Job: An Exposition of the Book of Job - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Unlike previous generations of Christian preaching, sermons on or from the Book of Job are rare in contemporary evangelical pulpits. Because all Scripture is God-breathed and necessary for Christian growth, this neglect of the reading, study, and exposition of Job is a serious malady in the Church. Hence the importance of The Slander and Solace of Job: An Exposition of the Book of Job. Into this present spiritual vacuum, Kress Biblical Resources has produced a valuable word. This exposition of the book of Job gives a precise interpretation of the biblical text and insightful applications to his reader’s daily life. It gives beneficial guidance for the biblical expositor in producing his own sermons. And the non-vocational Bible Study leader or interested lay reader will find a detailed discussion presenting the meaning of Job and its past and present significance for the biblical book’s hearers and readers. Every Christian needs God’s compass and comfort as the trials of earthly existence come; The Slander and Solace provides this spiritual food for those on the pilgrim journey.
