About the Author

Clem Daems was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He joined the Air Force, right after high school. Since then he has lived in two foreign countries and eight of the fifty states. He is retired and lives in Tucson, Arizona. Easily bored, he has had four separate professions: Internal Auditor in the USAF, Software Engineer, Course Development Manager, and Adjunct Professor at several Universities and Colleges. Along the way he picked up two degrees from the University of Arizona: a BS in Mathematics and MS in Computer Science. He loves to read Fantasy and Science Fiction, and has a library of over eight hundred books of every description. His favorite authors are David Weber and L. E. Modesitt. He doesn't consider himself an author only a person who has learned that he enjoys writing. He began his first story two years ago at age seventy. Except for his luck in meeting his co-author, Jeanne Tomlin, it would have remained an interesting hobby. For forty years his other interesting hobby has been Kung Fu. He has been married to the same wonderful woman for over fifty years and has one daughter and two grandchildren. Over the years, he has learned that you can never go back, so he doesn't waste his time trying. The present is what is interesting.
