Known as Bless, the Paris and Berlin-based fashion duo of Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag have been investigating the boundaries of style since they came to fame in the winter of 1997-98 when the models at a Martin Margiela fashion show wore their fur wigs. This encyclopedic, ten-year survey (designed by M + M) documents Bless' unique work for the first time, sliding from fashion to beauty, interior decoration to art exhibition, collaboration with brands to stylized advertising. Their production, straddling the fine line between high function and high fashion, art object and design, is notable for the recycling and adaptation of unexpected items in unexpected ways. Interviews by Manuel Raeder with Nobuyoshi Tamura Shihan and by Jan Winkelmann with Bless. Contributions by Thimo te Duits, Elein Fleiss, Nakako Hayashi, Stephanie Moisdon, Ulf Poschardt, Pro qm, Adriano Sack, Barbara Steiner, Olivier Zahm.
