The materials are designed to cover the objectives tested on the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (Levels 12-14) and the Stanford 9 Achievement Test (Levels Intermediate 2 through Advanced 2). In addition, the Grammar and Usage Review teaches concepts and skills emphasized on end-of-grade and high school exit exams. Each chapter contains concise lessons and frequent practice exercises. Each chapter ends with an open-ended chapter review followed by a multiple-choice test in a standardized test format. In this 2004 edition, a diagnostic test has been added to determine student strengths and areas for improvement.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Devin Pintozzi, author of best-selling language arts books in AL, GA, IN, LA, and TN graduated with a BA from Oglethorpe University, Atlanta, GA in 1995 and recently earned his master's degree from Georgia State University in 2003. He has taught ESL classes in migrant education. He strives for accuracy and clarity in all of his publications.
Dr. Frank Pintozzi, retired Professor of Reading / ESOL Programs at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA, has taught English and reading at the high school and college levels for over 27 years. He holds a doctorate in education from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. He is the author of 15 textbooks on reading, writing, and study strategies.
