Dec 05/Jan 06 This brand new expanded and updated version of the Beader's Companion introduces the new hard cover, spiral-bound, lie-flat format. This editions includes new definitions, new illustrations, loads of new colour photographs and provides just about everything you need to know about beading. * Embroiderer's Guild Stitch * Dec 05 This is an update on a previous beader's companion which I found very useful. I came to beading late and still like my bead chains best after they've been dunked in the melting pot. The new version has the same good, clear instructions as the old but has thicker covers and extra pages. It contains colour pics although I'm not sure how much this helps as I found the black and white diagrams in the old book worked well. some of the new colour ones are a little fuzzy - beads aren't easy to photograph. New topics include semi-precious stones, knots and beaded finishings and much of the old text has been re-written, revised and updated with the latest in tools and materials. Good graphs, which you are allowed to photocopy, are helpful. Worth the update. * Workshop On The Web *
