Sharon is a native of Des Moines, Iowa. For the past 10 years she has traveled extensively and collected thousands of recipes from friends, culinary professionals and family. Her experience and creativtiy in the kitchen are concentrated in her newest book. The mother of 4 children Shraon is also wife and partner to Gene McFall, a professional actor and entertainer.

Famous First Women: The first woman humorist, FRANCES MIMIAM BERRY WHITCHER, used the nom de plume "Frank" in 1846 in the Saturday Gazzette. Her "Widow Bedottot" papers were re-published in book form in 1855 and sold over 100,000 copies. LADY ASTOR-NANCY WITCHER LANGHORNE was the first Amreican born woman to become a member of parliament in Great Britain. Representing the Plymouth constituency she too the oath on December 1, 1919, as a member of the House of Commons. ELIZABETH CADY STANTON was the first woman to be a witness at a Congressional hearing... trying to keep women in the District of Columbia from being debarred from voting. GWENDOLYN BROOKS, was the first African American woman to win a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry.
