Born in Hartola, Finland, Eino K. Nurminen graduated from Helsinki Hotel and Restaurant school in 1949. He worked as a chef in Finland, Sweden, Canada and Bermuda also onboard the ships of the Swedish-American Line until he emigrated to Los Angeles, California in 1963. While cooking and catering to the Hollywood celebrities and working in his own restaurant, the Nordic Inn, he started writing fictional novels and stories many based on his own life experiences. Eino K. Nurminen's first book Fanni was published in Finland in 1998, followed by Bermudan kolmio in 2005 and Hääyön murha a year later. The author retired from the food industry on New Year's Eve 2000 to write and re-write his stories. Married to wife Anja for 48 years, they have one son, Henri and two grandsons, Erik and Owen.
