Co-author Jeffrey P. Parker co-founded CCBN.com in 1997 and has served as the company’s Chairman and CEO since its inception. Prior to founding CCBN, he co-founded 38 Newbury Ventures, a venture capital firm which focuses on start-up and early stage companies. As the creator and CEO of several successful financial services companies over the past twenty years, he brings an operating perspective to the companies in which he invests, as well as a wealth of financial expertise and an extended network of domestic and international business contacts.
Parker is a Trustee of Cornell University where he founded the Parker Center for Investment Research at the Johnson School. An alumnus of Cornell, he earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in 1965, a Master of Engineering in1966, and a MBA in 1970. Parker has recently been recognized as a foremost benefactor of the University, and is a member of the University’s Executive Committee and co-chair of the University's Committee on Alumni Affairs and Development. In 2001, Parker was inducted into the Johnson Graduate School of Management Hall of Honor, the Johnson School’s highest award, and was also selected as the Cornell University 2001 Entrepreneur of the Year.
Co-author Robert I. Adler co-founded CCBN in 1997 and has served as the company’s President since its inception. Adler has a proven track record in building successful technology startups. CCBN, his second successful company, is a fast-growing technology startup providing the effective and efficient dissemination of shareholder information via several communication channels. He is responsible for both the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the company. Adler is an active writer and speaker in the IR arena. He has spoken at numerous industry conferences and has published several white papers about the Internet and investor relations.
Prior to founding CCBN, Adler was a junior partner with 38 Newbury Ventures, a venture capital group focused on early-stage companies in the healthcare and information services industries. At 38 Newbury, he had primary responsibility for the partnership's investment in FaxNet Corp. and Internet Securities, Inc.
