Gerry Lane, a retired sales manager, wrote his first book Why Don't Guinea Pigs Have Tails? for his granddaughters. His second book, alongside illustrator Jenny Riddle, Teddy and the Blue Butterfly is dedicated to the young Liam Dynes, whose last wish was to give sight to others. Jenny Riddle is a local illustrator who has an Associate Diploma in Art. She worked in Visual Merchandising with major department stores for many years before changing to part-time work in the family business to pursue her love of art and illustration.
