Inhaltsangabe

Originally a way for bored shepherds to pass the time, via a first international in New York in 1844, to an estimated 60 million players worldwide today - it’ s no surprise that cricket is the second most popular sport in the world. Full of jokes, cartoons, fun facts and spotlight on famous cricketers, perfect for cricket fans and newcomers alike, Cracking Cricket is the third book in the Stupendous Sports series, which aims to do for PE what Horrible Histories did for Year 7 History lessons.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Aged 21 Robin was all set to become a cavalry officer; aged 21 and a half, he found himself working as an assistant gravedigger in south London wondering where it all went wrong. Robin has gone on to start and run over a dozen successful businesses from dog-sitting to cigars, tuition to translation. The list is quite exhausting. Robin is married with three young children. He spends his time between Pau in the Pyrenées and Henley-on- Thames.

Robin’s books include Monster Max and the Bobble Hat of Forgetting and Monster Max and the Marmalade Ghost, a laugh-out-loud series for 7–9 year-olds, with book three, Monster Max: This Time It’s Sirius publishing August 2023.

Robin is also the author of Rampaging Rugby, Fantastic Football and Cracking Cricket in the Stupendous Sports non-fiction series for 7–11-year-old readers. These books have also been adapted to Welsh, as the Campau Campus series.

Robin has also written other books for children, published with Monster Books.
