Michael Buxton lives in a small town in the centre of England in a home where he’s surrounded with his favourite Star Wars memorabilia. From an extremely young age, Michael was obsessed with drawing dinosaurs or other weird and wonderful creatures. If he wasn’t scribbling monsters, he’d have his head buried in a children’s book. He graduated with a degree in illustration from Loughborough University and began his career in the greetings card industry, He has now illustrated a number of best-selling titles for young readers, including books for Five Mile Press, Templar, Hachette, Little Hare, and Tiny and Tim. His work features bold, expressive characters and a strong sense of humour. He likes to retain a joyful, hand-drawn quality to his illustrations, exactly the style he loved as a child.
