“Jack-the-Ripper” was the nickname attributed to an unknown serial sex murderer who killed five women in the East End of London in 1888. Vicious attacks believed to be undertaken by the Ripper involved prostitutes who plied their trade in the slums of the metropolis and whose throats were slit in advance of depraved sexual mutilations. The removal of genital organs from three of the women led to speculation that their murderer possessed anatomical knowledge.

Jeremy Peterson has undertaken years of painstaking research examining and discounting many fake documents and inaccurate statements in his search for the real Ripper.
