Rafael is a Brazilian entrepreneur who moved to London in 2001 after living for a couple of years in Sao Paulo - one of the world's largest cities. In London, he started out doing menial jobs to pay his way. Rafael decided to turn his experience of living in flat shares into a business and since 2005 he runs a successful small property company - londonup.com - that turns over GBP1m a year. A savvy online marketer and passionate traveller, he has visited more than 200 cities in 30 different countries, meeting many extraordinary people along the way and developing a great knowledge of different cultures. His core values in life and business are community, integrity and excellence and these are the main reasons why Rafael decided to write this book: to help people who are going to move abroad for the first time to understand the 5 stages of this new adventure.
