One midsummer evening in an English hayfield Jan McCourt was crushed beneath his seven tonne tractor. In an instant his life was changed forever. His lower back, hip and pelvis were virtually demolished. Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Jan McCourt was born in London of Irish parents. Though he lived in London until he was ten years old, Jan longed to move out and lead a truly rural life. Following school, university, Law school and travel in Europe and India, Jan settled down to a career in Investment Banking, working in the City of London. After fourteen varied years living through the heyday of the modern City revival, Jan embarked on a new life and career as a full-time farmer, and built a new life and business from scratch, rearing and sourcing British Rare and Traditional Breeds of Cattle, Sheep and Pigs. Northfield Farm is renowned as a multi award-winning farm based food business. Northfield Farm has its own farm shop as well as outlets at London s Borough and Broadway Markets.
