The Essential Gnostic Gospels: Including the Gospel of Judas, the Gospel of Thomas, & the Gospel of Mary - Softcover

Gnostics were condemned as heretics by the early Church and many of their writings burned. Today, thanks to books such as The Da Vinci Code, they’re back in the public eye. These authoritative translations present nearly two dozen Gnostic works?including the Gospel of Mary Magdalene and The Gospel of Thomas?in an inspiring collection sure to appeal to modern spiritual seekers.

Alan Jacobs brings his unrivalled scholarship to bear on these texts, many of which address perennial questions of good and evil, sin and suffering, and the path to salvation.
