The Scorpion, whose mother Cardinal Trebaldi burnt at the stake for loving a man of the cloth, discovers that his father murdered Pope himself. When Trebaldi addresses a huge crowd at the end of the mourning period, the Scorpion is there to tell the truth about how the people's beloved Pope died. Trebaldi claims that the sacred cross of St. Peter miraculously appeared in his castle. The Scorpion must find the real cross if he is to prove Trebaldi's treachery.

Born in Brussels in 1954, it was in 1978 that Stephen Desberg started his professional script-writing career in earnest. His great talent allowed him to pass with ease from one genre to another, from fantasy atmospheres to realities around him. To him we owe, "Le Sang Noir" (Black blood), a romantic saga, "IR$", in which the original subject is the American tax system. Stephen Desberg is interested in the riddles of Christian origins and so completed with the illustrator Enrico Marini the fantastic saga "The Scorpion", which revolves around a flamboyant cape and sword hero in 18th century Rome. The Italian illustrator Marini had already worked with Desberg, their first meeting allowing them to realize a childhood dream: to draw a Western, by completing "L'Etoile du desert", which immediately earned him numerous awards. hardcover. Zustand: Good. Marini, Enrico (illustrator). Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only. Artikel-Nr.
