The world famous motorsport annual is regarded as the definitive account of the Formula 1 season. Edited by leading F1 journalist Alan Henry, plus Formula One coverage from Simon Arron as Grand Prix editor and Mark Hughes as Technical editor, it has been long established as a genuine collector's item. Autocourse has an unrivalled heritage which is recognised by the entire motorsport community - and numbers F1 luminaries Jackie Stewart, Murray Walker and Ron Dennis as devotees.

Obsessed with cars since before he could walk, Simon Arron attempted to enter the world of automotive journalism in 1974, at the age of 13, when he plagiarised Motoring News’s report of the Argentine Grand Prix and hand-wrote his own version on several sheets of A4. It remains unpublished.
His career began on a more formal basis five years later, when he began supplying motorsport reports and photographs to local newspapers in his native Cheshire, England. Upon graduation from Sheffield University in 1982, he joined British specialist weekly Motoring News and has worked in the industry ever since. He has edited both Motoring News and Motor Sport and also spent several years in road-car journalism, as production editor of Fast Lane.
He turned freelance in 1996 and nowadays contributes to a wide number of newspapers and magazines, including The Daily Telegraph, Motorsport (formerly Motoring) News, Motor Sport, F1 Racing and Car Graphic (Japan). He has written several books and also works as a translator (French-English), when time allows. His hobbies include music, photography, and ornithology.
Married with two children, he received his first copy of Autocourse on December 25 1975: he has been a regular contributor to the title for several years and in 2011 was appointed editor of his favourite Christmas present.
