At the age of 44, Sean Godsell (b. 1960) is one of Australia’s leading young architects and is beginning to attract an international following for his spare industrial forms and innovative use of materials. Trained at the University of Melbourne, Godsell travelled through Europe and Asia in the early and mid 1980s and then spent 1986-1988 working in London with Sir Denys Lasdun. He subsequently returned to Melbourne to work for the Hassell Group and then opened his own firm in 1994. Featured in the Phaidon Atlas of Contemporary Architecture, Godsell is known primarily for his residential work, which employs economic means to maximum effect. In 2002, *wallpaper magazine listed him as one of the 10 people destined to "change the way we live." This is the first book to provide an overview of this innovative architect’s career

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Leon van Schaik is a professor of Architecture at RMIT in Melbourne. In 2000, he was the curator of the Australian pavilion at the VII Biennale di Architettura in Venice.

Superb copy of this uncommon and out of print architectural monograph, even more uncommon in hardcover. 160 pages richly illustrated in color photographs and black and white illustrations detailing the work of Sean Godsell. Immaculate, crisp copy. Binding is solid, sturdy, square. Interior is bright, clean, free of markings of any kind.
