This book is about science. Specifically building a science of economics, grounded in understanding of what is beneath the surface of economics using business activities and figures as a case. Economics should be, as a science, concerned with formulating theories of ideas and reality that produce descriptions of how to understand phenomenon and create experiences, hypotheses generation and data which need to be proven or dis-proven through testing and further analyses.

Woodrow W. Clark II, a Lecturer at University of California (UC), Riverside, A. Gary Anderson School (MBA program) at Heckmann School for International Entrepreneurship and at UC Los Angeles on Sustainable Development. Clark is a co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize (2007) due to his authorship and as a co-editor on intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). In 2004, he formed Clark Strategic Partners whose clients include being the Energy Director, Los Angeles Community College District; Senior Advisor to Green Valley Initiative; and Sustainable Development Advisor, Paramount Studios. From 2005-07, Clark was Senior Foreign Energy Advisor through the Asian Development Bank to Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (IMAR), Peoples Republic of China. Michael Fast is Associate Professor at Aalborg University, Department of Business Studies, Denmark. His main research fields and teaching are in organizational sociology, philosophy of science, methodology and qualitative methods. Central concepts and areas in research are: action, interaction, intersubjectivity, understanding, theory of knowledge, organizing, organizational development, internationalization of organizations, and management. He is coordinator of the master program of organization and strategy, at Aalborg University, and former vice head of the Department of Development and Planning Aalborg University.
