This collection of twenty-one ghostly tales by Sabine Baring-Gould first appeared in 1904. The stories cover the full range of supernatural encounters---tales of chilling horror like "Glamr" and "Colonel Halifax's Ghost"; tales of Victorian sentimentality such as "Little Joe Gander"; tales of comic ghosts "H.P." and McAllister".
