The author's collection of images evokes memories of summer weekend excursions behind inside cylindered 0-6-0's and 4-4-0's, many of the latter in the blue-livery of the GNRI.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Des FitzGerald is a retired dentist from Armagh City. He is also author of 'The Derry Road', No 2 in the Colourpoint Transport Series. He is a noted railway researcher and photographer. His colour slides and line photography were featured in a BBC Northern Ireland documentary, 'Farewell the Derry Road'.
