One World or None is the life story of Ross Smyth and an explanation of his vision for global peace, justice and conservation. It advocates the major steps required to reform and democratize the United Nations and relates how politicians and individuals can move quickly to a democratic, governed world, one without vast expenditures on militarism or superpower domination. It also outlines the necessary steps to eliminate nuclear weapons and to abolish the undemocratic veto held by the major powers at the UN.

Ross Smyth was born in Toronto, but has spent much of his life in Montreal. He has been involved in Canada's commercial aviation industry from its very beginnings and worked for 37 years at Trans-Canada Airlines (subsequently Air Canada). In addition to his passion for aviation, he also developed an interest in world federalism and was an active member of many organizations, including a term as president of the World Federalists of Canada. He now lives in Montreal.
