Stephen King wrote this about the Off Season Unexpurgated trade paperback (Released August of 2004 ISBN 1–892950–20–0 ) in the November 19, 2004 issue of Entertainment Weekly: “Who’s the scariest guy in America? Jack Ketchum’s original novel of cannibalism in Maine, Off Season, was first met with a lot of controversy when it was originally released in 1980.
