What begins in innocence in a small town in upstate NY evolves into a tale which quesions the very nature of humanity and our place in the cosmos.
It happens, Humankind has been found in the cosmos by Aliens with four times the mental endowment of the most intellegent of our species. Charles Clotfelter was born into a military family and lived the first twelve years of his life in Southern California. Traveling with his father, first to New Mexico and later to Virginia, he found that moving around came easily to him. Upon graduation from a military academy in Virginia, he began to travel on his own, furthering his education in Utah, New York and Hawaii.
In the course of his travels, Charles has encountered several enigmatic characters, not only in the U.S., but also in his many extended stays in Latin America, Asia, and the Caribbean. These characters and exotic places provide part of the basis for the sometimes strange peoples of We Aquatus.
But the deeper roots of this book are embedded in his abiding belief in the essential goodnes of humanity, beset though it is by the dire problems of today.
