Commitments is about life in the 90's. The commitments men and women make to each other and to themselves. The story centers around two cousins, Leo and Bobby. The story begins with Leo getting out of jail and making a promise that he'll never return. He was in his second year of college when his life was turned upside down. Now he has to start all over, again. Leo meets Rose, the woman of his dreams. They fall in love and move in together, but problems arise when Leo fails to tell Rose about his past. After 5 years commitment to him means they're doing just fine. Commitment to her means it's time to get married! Bobby has so many girlfriends he can't remember their names. He meets Rose's best friend Vina. She's perfect for him except she obese and independent. Bobby falls in love with her. Can he stay committed? See what happens when old friends and past lifestyles attempt to lure Bobby and Leo away from their new lives.

Rhoda Unanaowo was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. She is married to her college sweetheart. They reside in Northern California with their two sons. Rhoda is working on her next novel, that will be available soon.
