"Microwave and RF Design" is a comprehensive introduction to RF and microwave design. The next four chapters present topics in transmission line theory with emphasis on microstrip circuit design. The final three chapters cover coupled lines, RF and microwave components and their applications and finally RF filter design is covered with a complete combline microstrip filter design used to introduce advanced filter concepts and also illustrating some of the less quantifiable design decisions that must be made such as choosing manufacturable dimensions.The book is also characterized by extensive emphasis on design with many examples and discussion of manufacturability and practical design decisions.The book is arranged as three relatively modules - with Chapters 1-3 being module 1, Chapters 4-7 being module 2, and Chapter 8-10 being module 3 - so that any of the modules, or perhaps 2, can be taught independently. Developed over the course of 10 years teaching an associated course, the book as been refined to fully address common questions from students. This book serves as as a comprehensive RF and microwave reference book with detailed index, glossary and cross-references throughout the text.
