Menopause can represent a new, positive beginning in a woman's life. However, a woman experiencing uncomfortable and sometimes serious menopausal symptoms may not perceive this as a vibrant time in her life, filled with limitless opportunity.
In this extensively researched book, authors Kathleen Fry, M.D., and Claudia Wingo, R.N., Medical Herbalist, explain the mechanics of menopause, conventional treatments, how to find relief through diet and lifestyle, and herbs that can help ease the transition. The authors also address symptoms of menopause that many women experience, including:
-Anxiety and/or depression
-Heart palpitations
-Hot flashes and/or night sweats
-Muscle and joint aches
-Urinary incontinence
