ADA and ABA Accessibility Guidelines, Buildings and Facilities (ADAAG, July 2010)
Produced by the U.S. Access Board, these Guidelines update access requirements for a wide range of public and private facilities covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Architectural Barriers Act of 1968 (ABA).
The Guidelines detail how to meet ADA and ABA requirements in various building elements and spaces, including entrances, ramps, parking, restrooms and telephones, among others.
This updated set of Guidelines is now more consistent with model building codes, such as the International Building Code (IBC), ANSI and other industry standards. Other features of this major update include...

These standards, which are maintained by other Federal agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Justice under the ADA, will be updated according to the new guidelines. It is these standards, not the Board s guidelines, that the public must follow.
