Linda Wrede-Seaman, MD has been involved with the development of the field fo palliative medicine since her days as a medical director of a hospice team. She serves as a consultant for palliative care program developement and served on the Board of Directors for the Academy of Hospice & Palliative medicine for 8 years. Her practical book was developed for her hospice team to use in the home, long term care facilites, and in patient settings. It received awards for using the interdisciplinary team management approach for comprehensive palliative care.
