Jack Collom was born in Chicago in 1931 and grew up in Western Springs. For almost forty years, he’s been a freelance poetry teacher at Naropa University and with children and elders (with three books on and of children’s writings, including Poetry Everywhere, now in its second edition). Jack is the author of twenty-five books and chapbooks of poetry. His most recent volume, Second Nature, won the 2013 Colorado Book Award. Other honors include two National Endowment for the Arts Poetry Fellowships and a 2012 Foundation for Contemporary Arts award. J. Hadley Hooper lives in Denver and works as an illustrator and painter. She is a groundskeeper, gallery coordinator, co-owner of Ironton Studios, co-founder and board member of the River North Art District. Her illustration work is represented by Marlena Agency and her paintings can be found at Goodwin Fine Art.
