Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

When Jack McKee was 40 he figured out he wanted to teach high school or middle school shop. It was the early 1990's so the timing was not great as shop classes were being bulldozed by computer technology. Instead he volunteered in his son's class and found immediate connection with kids wanting to mess around with science and build stuff. Together they made a Rube Goldburg machine, an electricity board, and roasted hot dogs with solar energy. This lead to a job teaching "shop" to kindergardeners at a Montessori School and to teaching woodworking and science to 5-12 year olds for the parks. It was the most interesting, fun, and meaningful work he had ever done. Out of that work came two books, Woodshop for Kids and Builder Boards. After he retired he made the World's Largest Set of Builder Boards and takes it to community events.
