Mychal Wynn does not make an argument as to why students of color should choose to attend an HBCU, but presents the facts of how attending an HBCU provides thousands of students with direct pathways into graduate school, medical school, law school, and into the top employers. How students have access to scholarship, internship, mentorship, and support programs not available elsewhere. Why the “culture of caring” at HBCUs creates a space for students to become the best version of themselves, supported by a culture where everyone from the cafeteria to the Office of the President is pulling for their success.
