Loren Christensen was still a rookie on pro-bation when his police agency recruited him to teach defensive tactics to new officers hired just a few months after him. Since then he has trained countless police academies, in-service officers, transient sys-tem authorities, security agents, hotel security personnel, mental health nurses and criminal justice students. Loren began his martial arts journey in 1965 and over the decades of continuous study has earned 10 black belts in three fighting arts: 7th-degree black belt karate, 2nd-degree black bell jujitsu. and 1st-degree black belt arnis.
