Crimes of Violence: Australian Responses to Rape and Child Sexual Assault: Australian Response to Rape and Sexual Assault - Softcover

Inhaltsangabe

Crimes of Violence is the first Australian work to provide information about rape and child sexual assault. It documents the historical attitudes underpinning societal understanding; addresses education for workers in this field and the need for a coordinated government response; outlines different approaches to working with individuals and groupwork practice; and attempts to address the specific needs of marginalised groups.
The contributors have an unshakeable commitment to confronting the inequalities that foster sexual violence. A range of voices is heard, reflecting the ongoing dialogue between survivors, counsellors and researchers. This diversity of experience makes Crimes of Violence an invaluable reference for workers in the welfare arena, students and everyone interested in overcoming violence directed towards women and children.
