The aim of this book is to analyze one of the most outstanding and pervasive problems of the area known as logic, methodology and philosophy of science: the question of truth and its relation to logic, representation and ontology. In this sense the contributions to this volume explore different aspects of the problem from scholars in this field of investigation. The aim is to bring together research from different countries, looking at the problem from different perspectives. The questions dealt with represent the following areas of interest: general discussions of truth theories, and the importance of truth in logic and formal semantics, truth and proof in mathematics, truth and representation in the philosophy of language and mind, and the epistemological and ontological issues raised by the notion of truth.
