David Stringer broadcast over a thousand times whilst working for the BBC. He has written several plays for theatre, including This House is Dark, Twice upon a Saturday, and A Touch of the Sun, and his television play, Touch Wood, which starred Alec McGowan, was later filmed as Nearly a Nasty Accident. His previous publications include Plays for Radio and Television, The Yesterday Man, Who Wants Crackers at Christmas. His latest novel, No Time to Lose, is to be published by The Book Guild in 1998.
