But these tattoos are also fraught with bio-software bugs that can wreak havoc not only on the user but also on the entire Net. One such virus, code-named Mir, is at the centre of a race between international terrorist and government agencies when its inventor is blackmailed and the handover goes disastrously wrong. Mir is free, and it is left to Trevor Gobi, son of the VR private investigator and hero of RIM, Frank Gobi, to regain control of the virus. Mir, however, has plans of its own.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Alexander Besher was born in China to White Russian parents and raised in Japan. Based in San Francisco, he has worked as editor in chief of the Chicago Review, and contributing editor for Infoworld magazine, as well as consulting futurist in corporate scenario planning.
