Richard Fitzpatrick, originally from Clare, graduated from UCC in 1995 with a BA and worked for a time in San Francisco at the San Francisco Observer and The Irish Press (San Francisco). He completed a Masters in History in Edinburgh University in 1997 and worked as a features writer and assistant editor at Tandem Magazine and World Magazine in Toronto then as a technology journalist with The Sunday Tribune, 2000-2004. He now works as features writer and arts correspondent with The Irish Examiner, The Irish Independent and The Sunday Times.
