A separate section sets out Greenpeace's perspective on the fundamental issues involved, and the photography highlights the extraordinary variety of forms that nature takes in the North Sea and documents the abuse it has suffered. The author is a zoologist and environmental consultant who was Greenpeace's Science and Policy Advisor at the 1990 North Sea Ministers' Conference.
