Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Mark Healy was born in 1953. He has a Master's degree in Political Theology from Bristol University. He is by profession a schoolteacher and is head of the Humanities faculty in a large school in Somerset. He has written a number of Osprey titles including Elite 40 New Kingdom Egypt and Campaign 16 Kursk 1943. He has a great interest in both the ancient and modern periods, is married with one son and lives in Dorset.
Angus McBride is one of the world's most respected historical illustrators, and has contributed to more than 70 Osprey titles in the past three decades. Born in 1931 of Highland parents but orphaned as a child, he was educated at Canterbury Cathedral Choir School. He worked in advertising agencies from 1947, and after national service, emigrated to South Africa. He now lives and works in Cape Town.

Mark Healy is the author of several military history titles on World War II and on ancient military history, including Panzerwaffe: The Campaigns in the West 1940, Midway 1942, Cannae 216 BC, and The Warriors of the Old Testament. He was responsible for the best-selling video series for Chronos films released in the 1990s on German armor called 'Die Deutschen Panzer' and the follow-up series on the Luftwaffe and the U-Boat arm. He is a keen military modeler. Angus McBride (11 May 1931 - 15 May 2007) was an English historical and fantasy illustrator. In 1961, McBride moved to England. He made his first works in educational magazines such as Finding Out and Look and Learn, World of Wonder and Bible Story. In 1975, he began to work with Osprey Publishing's Men-at-Arms series. He continued to do realistic, historical illustrations for Osprey Publishing, as well as other such work for other military-history publishers (Concord publications, etc.). In fantasy circles, McBride was well known for his illustrations for Iron Crown Enterprises' game Middle-Earth Role Playing (MERP) based on J. R. R. Tolkien's writings. In 2014, Scott Taylor of Black Gate, named Angus McBride as 9B in a list of The Top 10 RPG Artists of the Past 40 Years, saying "He is a master of his craft, and because of him an entire fanbase has a hugely detailed collection of windows in the Tolkien's world that otherwise might never have been available."
