This issue of "Architectural Design" heralds a bold change in the style and format of the magazine. Improving its quality of reproduction and presentation, it now has an enlarged format and a new, innovative design. Modern pluralism has been sweeping the architectural world. The additional, newly expanded magazine section maintains the high standard of content and design and includes a special extensive feature on the 1991 Venice Biennale as well as an interview with Norman Foster by Ken Powell, the Lucinda Lambton Diary - a new feature - and an article by Anthony Quiney on the medieval English village of Smarden; there is also a round-up of recent events, exhibitions and publications.
