Warwick University's interest in German law has been strengthened by its partnership with the Law Faculty of the University of Giessen in the federal Republic in 1986. The staff of these two faculties have met bi-annually since the link was made. This collection of essays is the product of one of these meetings. As the title of this book suggests, the general theme of this meeting was "Challenges to European Legal Scholarship". Subjects debated included Community law, domestic issues and other legal systems.
